BRORFELDE OBSERVATORY

CLIENT: HOLBÆK MUNICIPALITY
PROJECT: CONCEPT EXPERIENCE CENTRE
LOCATION: BRORFELDE, DENMARK
Kvorning Design has developed many of the interior and experiential concepts for Brorfelde Observatory, which is the largest astronomical observatory in Denmark. Today, a science and experience centre within astronomy, geology, technology and nature.
The Kvorning has developed ideas for both temporary exhibitions and the transformation of the listed buildings. The appearance of the buildings and the environment are preserved as in 1953-1964 when Copenhagen University built it as a branch.
Brorfelde Observatory in Brorfelde near Holbaek represents an integral part of Danish astronomic, architectural, landscape and design history.
