CLIENT: KØNG MUSEUM’S SUPPORT ASSOCIATION
PROJECT: KØNG, INTERACTIVE CONCEPT AND FEASABILITY STUDY
TYPOLOGY: MUSEUM DESIGN AND EXHIBITIONS, MASTERPLANS AND TRANSFORMATIONS
LOCATION: KØNG, DENMARK
KØNG is the title of an interactive concept and feasability study for Køng Factory, 1774-1924, Denmark. The story of how society’s poorest wove the finest table linens for the Danish king’s table.
KØNG unfolds the full journey, from flax flower to Køng Factory, and tells how the village of Køng developed and flourished. Both the concept and the feasability study were developed by KVORNING.
The concept is rooted in the village itself, the flax, the craftmanship, and the finished royal tablecloth. And not least, the people involved. It is staged and brought to life as a total, immersive experience on behalf of Køng Museum’s Support Association.
