KVORNING has revitalized Norway’s rich and proud coastal history with exhibition concept for the Hurtigruten Museum at Stokmarknes in Vesterålen, Norway.
MS Finnmarken from 1956 – one of the world’s largest museum objects behind glass – stands as a monument to the lifeblood of transport along the Norwegian coast. The iconic building is a giant showcase on the harbour front, the birthplace of the Hurtigruten more than 100 years ago.
Norway’s Minister of Culture, Abid Raja, inaugurated the museum on August 28, 2021. The exhibition was won in international competition.
