case
CLIENT: MUSEUM SOUTHEAST DENMARK
PROJECT: PERMANENT EXHIBITIONS
LOCATION: KØGE MUSEUM, DENMARK
In charge of the update and the reopening of Køge Museum are Museum Southeast Denmark and partners in cooperation with Kvorning Design & Communication acting as exhibition entrepreneur. The total enterprise includes final detailing, production and assembly of exhibitions and secure display cases, graphic identity, signage, interface for interactive guide and displays. The digital guide is designed and produced together with Nous and the moving imagery is produced by Oncotype.

Honouring the renaissance building and using advanced communication technologies, the past is now more approachable than ever for all visitors. The exhibitions invite families to experience the intriguing history of Køge through new and fascinating stories. The graphics and applied materials – for instance oak wood, leather, copper and felt in different colours – adds a special, sensory dimension to Køge’s most famous and beautiful renaissance building on 4 Nørregade.

The concept is outlined and designed by the museum’s exhibition department in collaboration with Kvorning Design & Communication, who acted both as both designers and producers. The exhibitions, Gifts from the past and Explosive brothers, reopened on 20 June 2015.
