CLIENT: ROYAL AIR FORCE MUSEUM
PROJECT: CONCEPT PERMANENT EXHIBITION
TYPOLOGY: MUSEUM DESIGN AND EXHIBITIONS
LOCATION: LONDON, ENGLAND
To mark the centennial The Royal Air Force in 2018, KVORNING was invited to compete for a contract of a concept suitable for a world class museum, conveying the history of RAF in a way that engages, inspires and attracts both adults and children.
KVORNING’s exhibition concept was based on a radical re-organization of the museum artefacts – all the unique aircrafts. The aircrafts played the leading role in a series of scenarios, where visitors could learn about their significance, function and design.
Furthermore, all the aircrafts were in the same airspace – and were flying in the same direction. Kvorning’s concept involved a lot of animations, live imagery and light- and sound effects.
