Interest in experiencing THE ESCAPE 1943 is high. This summer, more than 5,900 visitors from Sweden and abroad have visited the new museum at the Landskrona Citadel, Landskrona Museum reports.
In October 1943, thousands of Danish Jews fled across the Øresund to Sweden to avoid being deported. Many Danish Jews arrived in Landskrona, and the reception of the refugees is part of the town’s history and should continue to be remembered.
KVORNING won the Landskrona Municipality tender to develop and help realize the concept for the new museum at the Landskrona Citadel in co-operation with the museum. The commission also included graphic identity, interactive elements, animation, and film making.
H.R.H Crown Princess Victoria inaugurated the museum on May 29, 2026.
