CRASH! · Air Force Memorial Center Als
From 1939 to 1945, Europe was at war, and the Allies bombed industrial and military targets in the German Reich to weaken the Nazi war industry.
The missions were flown from English air bases by young men from, among others, Great Britain, Canada, the United States, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa. More than 463 aircraft were shot down, and over 1,171 crew members lost their lives. In the Sønderborg area alone, 12 aircraft crashed, and 88 crew members were killed or taken prisoner.
KVORNING is involved in presenting this central story together with the project team behind the working title ‘STYRT!’ (‘CRASH!’)
